My name is Lisa Green and I am honored to serve as Jackson’s principal this school year. With 21 years of experience in education, my background includes roles as a Kindergarten and 1st-grade teacher, Gifted Coordinator, Special Education Coordinator, and Instructional Coach. For five years, I served the Jackson community as the Assistant Principal and I am beginning my third year as Jackson’s principal. I am excited to work together with students, staff, and community members to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

Greetings Jackson Saints!

I am honored and excited to join the Jackson Elementary community as your Assistant Principal. As a proud graduate of Greeley-Evans School District 6, it is truly a privilege to continue serving the community that helped shape who I am today. This school year marks my 22nd year serving students, families, and educators in District 6, and I am grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Jackson community.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving students in both in-person and virtual learning environments from kindergarten through twelfth grade. My professional journey has included roles as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal, experiences that have strengthened my passion for supporting students and empowering educators. Most recently, I served as an Assistant Principal for the and previously as an Instructional Coach in District 6, where I focused on instructional leadership, student achievement, and building strong systems that support every learner.

Outside of school, my family keeps me busy and grounded. My husband and I have been married for 22 years. He is a retired member of the United States Air Force and now works for Woodward Governor. We are proud parents of four children—two currently attend District 6 schools in middle and high school, and two are seniors at the University of Northern Colorado. Go Bears! 

As I begin my first year at Jackson Elementary and my fourth year as an assistant principal in District 6, I am excited to build meaningful relationships with our students, staff, and families. I believe every child has unique strengths and limitless potential, and I am committed to helping students discover their talents while supporting teachers and families in creating opportunities for success.

Relationships are at the heart of everything we do. I encourage you to reach out, introduce yourself, and partner with me throughout the school year. Together, we can create a positive, supportive learning environment where every student is empowered to grow, achieve, and become their very best.

Hello! I've been a proud Jackson Saint for nine years as the office manager. I love my job and love seeing the kids growth from year to year. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and kids, reading and crafting. I am looking forward to another wonderful year! 

My name is Rebekah Glasgow and I will be teaching Kindergarten here at Jackson!  This is my 22nd  year in education, my 15th at Jackson.  I have taught  Kindergarten, Preschool, 4th Grade, and Special Education.   I have two teenage boys, both attending Greeley West, and a dog named Barkley who keep me busy. I am excited to serve another year at Jackson!

Hello! My name is Bethani Ploegstra. This is my 13th year in education and my 3rd year teaching Kindergarten at Jackson. I am married and have two grown children. We also have two crazy cats and a rabbit. I love hiking, baking, reading and traveling. I am looking forward to a great year with my kindergarteners filled with wonder, adventure and learning!! 

I’m so excited to be continuing my teaching career here at Jackson Elementary! This year marks my second year in education and I couldn’t be happier to continue to work with the kindergarten team. I’ve lived in Colorado since I was three years old, growing up in Boulder county, so Greeley is a new adventure for me. When I am not in the classroom, you can usually find me spending time with the people I love, riding my horse, or spending time with my two pups. I’m looking forward to an amazing year of learning, laughter, and growth with my kinders!

My name is Micah Evans.  This is my 24th year working at Jackson.  I taught ESL for the first five years and have been teaching first grade for eighteen years.   I have two sons  and one daughter.  I enjoy cooking and spending time in the mountains.  I love teaching first grade and cannot wait to see the growth this year! 

My name is Michele Hudson.  I have been at Jackson for 8 years.   I am married and have two grown children.  I enjoy lots of outdoor activities, usually with the dogs!  I am excited for another great year at Jackson.

Hi, I’m Caitlin Mounce. I have been teaching in District 6 since 2013. This is my 8th year teaching first grade at Jackson. I am married and have two dogs. I enjoy reading and spending time in the sun. I can’t wait for a great year!

Hello! I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade at Jackson this school year.  I have taught early childhood over the past 20 years in Texas and look forward to meeting all my new Colorado families. I have two teenage children and two dogs.  I enjoy going to the movies and spending time with my family.  I look forward to getting to know your child during this upcoming school year to watch them grow, develop, and reach personal goals. It’s going to be a fun and exciting memorable experience for us all! 

Hello.  I’m Rachelle Herenreter.  I will be teaching second grade this year. I am excited to be back at Jackson.  I taught first grade at Jackson for 10 years.  I have taught preschool, first grade, fourth grade and am excited to be teaching second grade.  I am married and have two grown children, two grandsons and two dogs.  When I am not teaching I like reading, knitting, and spending time in the mountains with my family.

I have the privilege of teaching second grade again here at Jackson. I have taught for 30+ years, at the Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade levels. I love to teach, inspire, help, and better the lives of all of my students. I am excited for another wonderful year at Jackson. Outside of school I love spending time with family, friends, my pup and especially my 6 year old grandson.

I am so excited to be teaching 3rd grade here at Jackson Elementary. This is my 13th year of teaching and all but one year has been spent here at our amazing school. I have taught 1st grade, intervention and now 3rd grade! When I am not at school I love spending time with my 3 kids and 3 cats. I am looking forward to an amazing year with our students!

Hello I am so excited to start my 8th year teaching 3rd grade here at Jackson. This will be my 27th year in education. I started my teaching career teaching middle school P.E., and have since taught every grade level from preschool -12th grade. I love our community here at Jackson and I am committed to helping our students grow both academically and socially.

Hello! I am excited to teach third grade again! Jackson is such a special place that I am grateful to be a part of. I graduated from UNC with my bachelors in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Cultural and Linguistic Diversity. Outside of school, I love going on long walks with my puppy. This year is going to be a great year!

I am so excited to be back at Jackson for my 7th year of teaching! I’m a 4th grade teacher and graduated from UNC with my degree in Elementary Education! I’m ready for a good year ahead!

Hello! My name is Jamie Dean and I am so excited to be teaching 4th grade at Jackson again this year! This will be my 7th year teaching. I graduated from UNC with my degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s in Literacy. I am looking forward to a great year!

Hello! My name is Alyssa Hartshorn. This will be my 6th year at Jackson. I am excited to spend another year in 4th grade. I graduated from UNC with my undergrad and masters degree. I am looking forward to an amazing year!

Hello! I am Carolyn and I am so excited to begin my first year here at Jackson as a 5th grade teacher.  I have been teaching for 26 years in grades 2nd - 5th. I moved here over the sumer from Grand Junction, Colorado where I taught for 14 years. Before moving to Colorado I taught in Panama City, Florida for 12 years! I am so excited to be a part of the Jackson family!

Hello! I am Magness and I am so excited to start as a 5th grade teacher here at Jackson. This is my 13th year teaching but my first in 5th grade and my first at Jackson! My family moved to Greeley this summer from Iowa! Before we moved I was a 2nd grade teacher for four years and a 7th/8th grade science teacher for eight years. I look forward to a great year here at Jackson!

Hello! I’m Mayra Garcia, and I’m thrilled to begin my journey as a third-year teacher at Jackson Elementary, where I’ll be teaching 5th grade. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado and am excited to bring my dedication to the classroom. I enjoy drawing, cooking, and spending time with family. I look forward to working with my students and their families to make this a memorable and successful year!

Hi there! I am Claire Miller, this is my 3rd year teaching 5th grade and my 5th year teaching at Jackson. I am a UNC alumni (Go Bears!) and grew up here in Colorado. I have a son.I enjoy being with my family and having movie nights from time to time. I am looking forward to an incredible and memorable year!

I am a Reading Interventionist here at Jackson. This will be my fourth year at Jackson and my 23nd year teaching. I have taught preschool through 3rd grade. I love teaching children how to read and am looking forward to another exciting year at Jackson. When I am not teaching, I love to read, watch the New York Yankees, and spend time with my family and friends.

I am the Discovery Lab teacher at Jackson. This will be my first year at Jackson and I am excited to be here.  This will be my 28th year in education.  I taught 5th grade for 14 years and have been teaching in a “discovery lab” type classroom for the last 13. I look forward to working with all of our students. 

I have had the honor and privilege of working as the physical education teacher at Jackson for all 14 years of my career. My oldest son just finished his years at Jackson and has moved on to middle school, but I still have one student attending here. This is our home away from home. My goal is to get kids excited about being active and making healthy choices while building relationships, and learning life skills that will benefit them now and in their future.

I am so excited to continue teaching music here at Jackson, where I have been teaching since I graduated from UNC in 2022. My goal is to help kids learn about different instruments, cultures, and styles of music, while inspiring them to try new things and hopefully find something about music that calls to them. Outside of school, I enjoy gardening, cooking and baking, and singing with The Greeley Chorale and my band Sticks & Wires. I am also one of the directors of The Greeley Children’s Chorale, where students in grades 2nd through 8th grade from all over Greeley come together and sing. Looking forward to a great school year!

Hello! I am very excited to be teaching ART here at Jackson for my 5th year. I am interested in almost all things art and “making”. My favorite artform is pencil drawing. I bring that joy and love for making things into the artroom and share it with the students. I can’t wait to see what this school year holds as these young artists grow and learn new skills. 

My name is Andrea Boyd and I will be the instructional coach at Jackson this year. I am from Uruguay and I have been living in the United States for more than twenty years. During my career as an educator I have been an English and Spanish teacher,general education teacher, curriculum writer and instructional coach. When I am not working I like to spend time with my family and enjoy the Colorado mountains.

Hello, my name is Kim Hoeft. I am beginning my 29th year in education.  I have taught in Kindergarten through Fifth grade classrooms as well as CLD.  This is my fourth year to have the privilege to work closely with our diverse population of multilingual learners at Jackson Elementary as a ML/CLD teacher. I look forward to the opportunity to see all of our Jackson students grow as learners.

Hello! My name is Devon Simpson and I am a CLD/ML teacher. My favorite part of this job is getting to know our AMAZING multilingual rockstars.This will be my 15th year in education. I have taught kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and CLD. I am truly thankful to be a member of the Jackson community. We are going to have a great year!

I am a special education teacher here at Jackson and have been in District 6 for over 15 years. I love watching all of the students learn and start believing in themselves as learners. When I am not at school I love reading, spending time with my family and friends along with enjoying the outdoors. I am excited to be a part of the Jackson family, your family, and especially your child’s life

Hello, my name is Diana Gonzalez and I’m excited to begin my first year as a Special Education teacher here at Jackson. I have a passion for serving my community and supporting students in special education settings. I have worked with grades K-5, have taught Spanish as a lead preschool teacher, and most recently, as a Registered Behavior Technician. I am happy to be a part of your child’s educational journey and look forward to partnering with you to make this a successful school year! Outside of work, I love cooking, spending time with my husband and my two sons.

Hello! My name is Brandon Mueller. This is my third year at Jackson. I taught middle school for 11 years. I am so excited to be stepping into my new role as an interventionist! When I’m not teaching, you can find me spending time outside with my two boys and my wife.

Hello! I am so excited to be starting my 2nd year at Jackson as the Speech Language Pathologist! I enjoy hiking, attending concerts, trying new restaurants, and spending time with our animals. I’m passionate about helping students find their voice, build confidence, and develop the communication skills they need to be successful. I’m looking forward to making this a wonderful school year! 

My name is Ashley Crossland, and I am excited to join Jackson Elementary as the school counselor. As I begin my 14th year in education, I look forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff.I am passionate about supporting all students and helping them grow academically, socially, and emotionally. My goal is to build strong relationships and help create a school community where every student feels seen, supported, and encouraged to thrive.

Kibou is a 6-year-old Bernedoodle and certified therapy dog who works alongside Ashley Crossland, Jackson Elementary's school counselor. His name,  Kibou, means "hope" in Japanese—a reminder that even small moments of connection can make a big difference. Kibou loves naps, treats, belly rubs, and running in open spaces. He is a passionate listener who enjoys bringing comfort, connection, and a calming presence to students and staff. He can't wait to meet the Jackson community!

Hello, my name is Bailey Braunstein and I am a School Psychology Doctoral Intern. I am so excited to start at Jackson this year to support students succeed academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally.

I am the READ Act Specialist here at Jackson. In this role, I get the opportunity to work with small groups of students and develop them into super readers! This will be my 5th year here. I have 23 years of experience teaching. Some of my favorite jobs have included special education and instructional coaching. When I am not working, I love to spend time with my family and our seven cats!
